Sigma Lambda Beta was founded on 1986 at the University of Iowa by 18 men, based on cultural understanding and wisdom.



Based upon our fundamentals of fairness, opportunity, and equality the Brothers of the Fraternity strive to better ourselves and the rest of society. We are open any race, culture, or ethnicity and pride ourselves on becoming the largest Latino Based Fraternity with multicultural emphasis. We continue to grow as the largest Latino Based Fraternity to date with our dedication to present ourselves in a gentlemanly and scholarly fashion. In less than thirty years we have proudly established over 118 chapters of the most Honorable Fraternity.

Brotherhood: As Brothers of Sigma Lambda Beta we strive to create a family-oriented atmosphere at the College of New Jersey, our community, our state, and our country.

Scholarship: Our main goal is ensure that each Brother has the best opportunity to earn his undergraduate degree. As Brothers of The Fraternity we strive to promote academic excellence day in and day out. 

Cultural Awareness: As Brothers of a Latino Based Fraternity with a multicultural emphasis, we must spread and educate others about the diverse brotherhood we share among each other. 

Community Service: It is our responsibility to not only better ourselves, but to our community as well. With that mindset we focus on further enhancing our society through service and philanthropic events.
